    I got a B in philosophy
    C in History
    D in GEOG
    E french

i prob will drop geog and continue french and retake a moduele to boost me up to a C/B for AS level.

so I heard that my results improve by one grade next year is that defenite or only if u r lucky.
because atm am on a high C for history and low B for philosophy, so could that go up to a B for hist and A for philisophy. plus could that theoretically mean i could get a A for french if i retoke module and got a B for AS level.

Could this help my chances to go to a good uni ?

Thanks for any help if you understood this whole mess

It's not definite at all. You have to work extremely hard for it.

Many people go up by a grade (or more) at A2, but this is done through dedication and realising that they need to work a bit harder. If you revise and work hard in your second year and retake a few modules, then there is no reason why you can't go from BCE to ABC/ABB or higher, depending how much dedication you are willing to put into achieving this

With A-levels, there is never a 'guarantee' that you will do well or even better. You get what you put in.

I would resit some AS modules to make it easier to achieve higher grades at A2.
