What about this Prom dress for my sister's wedding?
I have a long blue prom dress and I'm not sure if I could wear this to my sister's wedding in September. It seems appropriate for the occasion but I don't want to seem to formal, or even worse - upstage the bride!
I do not know major details like if it's a black/formal wedding. but I know the Ceremony takes place at 4pm, so I assume the Reception takes place at 5 or 6pm. I do love the dress, and I want to get as many years into it as I can. It's taking place in Denver, CO in early September by the way.

Though if it's your sister's wedding... shouldn't you be dressed like a bridesmaid?
Personally, for a sister's wedding, I'd try to wear something a bit more special, and more elegant
