So I got into my firm university (lucky me) however, I am pretty shocked by one of my results and so am thinking about getting a remark. I know some people may think its pointless and uneccessary but I thought I'd done really well and got a really crummy mark. So I just need some help understanding how this will work. Does getting a remark affect my university place? If my mark decreased and my overall grade became lower would they take back their offer? I know there are different types of remarks, could I get a cheaper one because I do not need it as a priority? Thanks in advance for any help.

If your uni has firmed you & you've confirmed your place, they can't just take it away.
Getting a remark at this stage would just be for peace of mind. If you're confident that you did better & the mark doesn't reflect that then you can get it remarked if you want.
But to the best of my knowledge, your Uni won't retract your place if the remark puts you down

You could get your script back (priority script service - deadline to apply 23rd Aug) and look at it with someone in conjunction with mark scheme. If you still felt the mark was wrong you could them get a remark (deadline 20th Sept).
