Looking at my student finance payment timetable it says my 'expected payment date' is 23/09/13, which is my first day of term. It also says that I'll get the first payment 'within 3-4 working days of your attendance being confirmed by your university'. Does that mean it'll actually be a week later than that date? How long do the unis take to inform student finance about our attendance?

I'm in a bit of a catch-22. My uni is in London, so I'll have to move. But I can't afford to move until I get the loan...which won't happen until I'm already there . *stress*

Yes it will be paid a few days after you start. Try using your student acct overdraft.
