On the whole results day went very well for me. I got AABB in maths, physics, chem and biology I calculated though that i was 8 UMS overall of an A in Chem... Should i get them remarked or leave it? Any advice or experience anyone has i would be grateful.
P.S. This is for AS...

Firstly, congrats on your results!
As you're so close to the boundary, I think it's worth it, since if it gets marked down (hopefully not) it's VERY VERY UNLIKELY you'll drop a grade, since you have such a high B already!

8 is quite a lot of marks to find in a science subject. So its unlikely but not impossible that your grade would change. If you are happy to pay and try then go ahead.
You must have got 232 UMS as you say you need 8 more marks for a A. This means to drop to a C you'd need to lose 23 marks - highly unlikely. So your remark feels 'safe' in that respect.

in a similar position, 5 ums away from A in chemistry (235 UMS) and this would bring my AABB to AAAB if I can go up.
I felt confident about both papers when I did them so I'm going to go ahead with remarks of both papers. I'd say choose whether or not to remark depending on how you felt the exam went. If you were never too confident about it then it might not be the wisest option.
