Edinburgh state in their entry requirements BBB or more if in 2 sittings, does this mean resits.
A second sitting to me sounds like redoing the year, but I have no idea.

I think it does mean resitting the year, however I may be wrong

I will do that after clearing. (I am only in year 12 at the moment, I don't want to call at the most hectic time of year)

I actually did this when Sprog 2 was applying to university (actually, it may have been Glasgow, come to think of it, but it said the same thing in the prospectus) and it was a bit confusing for a while because they don't do resits, from what I understand, with Scottish qualifications, but in the end we established that second sitting means doing A levels over 3 years, and resits in year 13 are fine.
