I've read around on TSR and remember seeing that each college seems to have a different 'thing' they are known for. However, I have lost the thread that I read it from, so now in a bit of a situation with not having a clue with what college to choose?! So, just wanted to know...
    1) Any current students, please could you give me a quick run through of what 'type' of person would be best suited to each college?
    2) Is the college choice really that important? I was thinking that every college would have different types of people, from the quieter to the more outgoing. Surely one would have a good time wherever they choose to go

    Thank you!

Take a look at YSTV's Guide to Colleges, it'll show you where the areas are and what the rooms look like. If you want to know about college character and spirit, Nouse and Vision (the two main campus newspapers) have guides to that too

Your second point is right - certain colleges might be convenient for certain types due to facilities (e.g. James is close to the Sport Centre, Vanbrugh and Derwent have music practice rooms) but they're not all filled with one 'type' of person and anyone will fit in anywhere.
