Looking to go into Investment Banking or stockbroking as a career and was wondering if the course I was looking to do (Industrial Economics at Nottingham), would be suitable and viable for getting into one of these careers or a job in the city of london? Is it seen as a good uni and would it be better than taking straight Econ at Lancaster to get into the city.

I really appreciate any feedback. Cheers

I can only talk on behalf of their related course FAM ( BA finance, accounting and management), which has gotten some people into FO in places like Barclays Investment Bank, JPM, Macquarie, RBS, UBS and most likely others

On the other hand some grads from FAM are unemployed.

Industrial economics has a much smaller intake than FAM, 40ish to 200

I would personally go to Nottingham out of the two

I would also agree that Nottingham will give you a better shot than Lancaster. But ultimately it comes down to you.
