Not caring about how you look

I don't know why but I don't care how I look, im almost 21 but only look about 14/15 (even when I dress up) according to some so maybe thats why, why bother if people think im a kid anyway lol. Obviously I care to an extent I will make sure any spots are concealed and im wearing clean clothes but Im not really bothered unless theres a guy I like or something then I'l wear make up lol. Even my mum calls me ugly and says im a disgrace at 20 and that I could be really pretty if I made an effort. Id just say im average though, is anyone else like this? Also guys do you really care how a girl looks or is it just most girls that over do it If this makes sense.

Some of my friends won't even go out of the house without spedning ages getting ready, said friends are, obviously outraged that I do not wear copious amounts of make up everyday.

no one wants a scruffy gf who doesnt take care of how they look. Your 20 so start acting like it, get some self respect and start looking your age and acting it.

Are you living in the 1950s? This is especially odd coming from a woman, as it is normally ignorant men who try to enforce the idea that it is a woman's duty to loom good. I don't see why, as long as a person is clean, there should be any obligation for them to make themselves look good for other people - of course this might result in less interest from members of the opposite sex, but if this interest is not wanted then this doesn't matter.

lol thats just the way i think, if your bf's friends saw you walking down the road and you looked like **** they would tell people how bad you looked and how ugly you were. so there for you must always look good for your bf and vise versa, if my bf looked like **** i'd tell him to go home cos no one wants a bf who cant dress or is 'ugly'.

i'd never say that to my boyfriend, firsty because its damn rude, and secondly because he could never look ugly to me, especially not through the clothes that he wore.

and if he ever said that to me, which i know he wouldn't, i'd tell him to get stuffed.
