I'm not going to talk about how important exercise is, but for me its really helped with weight loss over the last couple of months.
It worked fast and continues to do so - I find biking works well, but an hour quick-walking does the job too.

Diet-wise, all I can say is count calories and eat the minumum healthy amount a day.

    Guys,
I've tried diet and exercise and its not working. I have 6 weeks to lose weight. Please give some tips (diet purely, I don't care about exercising anymore because its clearly a waste of time). If you're going to come in and talk about how important exercise is I'm sorry but I'm not interested.

    Thanks.
    Calories out > Calories in.

It's simple, really. What's your general daily activity like? There are loads of websites where you can put in your age, weight, height, activity and it'll give you an estimated daily calorie intake needed to lose weight.

    http://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html

(These give you a rough estimate. You might find that you actually need more or less, experiment for a week or so.)
