    Hi guys,

What is the deadline for replying to an offer of accommodation after we receive it? I saw somewhere that it is 4 days but is this really true?

I think it various by University - check the dates on the website of the one you've applied for to be sure (for Bristol, where I'm going, it's a week).

    Yep it's 4 days.
If that's what they say, that's most likely what it is.

If you don't reply within 4 days you run the risk of them giving it up to someone else.

If you are concerned about the time limit, email LIVING (there will be an address for them in your offer of accommodation email) and let them know that their Q&A tells you that you are supposed to have 7 days. They will probably extend it, I know they did for me, they gave me till Friday, making it six days. I really don't like how their Q&A differs to what they really give you, they should never change details after the fact. It is flat out shifty seeming, slightly unfair, considering two of the four days I have been given banks are not open. Get the right time you need to fully assess your options, so if you need the extension, just email away.
