Physics at Cardiff

Does anyone know why Cardiff is so low in the Physics league tables?

The league tables are often a load of nonsense and should only be taken with a pinch of salt. But there could be many reasons, and it does not necessarily mean that the standard of teaching is not any good. I know someone who did his MPhys at Cardiff and is now doing a PhD there, he has no complaints :smile:
