deffo.
Im a naturally intelligent person, but I just didnt have the energy to get all a's and a*'s. I was lazy throughout my gcses :P

Ditto. I won't have done as well as I could/should have due to my habit to revise just the night before an exam, but at least I managed to keep up a social life and hobbies through exams and not spend 2 years stuck in my room, working. I doubt I'll regret that.

yup.. i mean i ment to start revisin months before so i dnt get behind but it didnt quite work i just ended up revisin onli days or even hours before..
but i guess i wuld have forgotten everythin anyway if i started any earlier

I now wish I'd started earlier, but having said that, I can only work when I'm under pressure or near a deadline. But looking back, if I'd started it much earlier and at a slower tempo, I feel like I'd be laughing now.

Personally, people talk about having a great summer and social life, but wouldn't you want to start your revision slowly and early so that you have the peace of mind when it comes to exam time or do you enjoy the 'thrill' of cramming?

You will be fine, everyone thinks that, and quite a few people surprise themselves. I know a guy who went from a U to an A in German, and he didnt even revise that much.

Gyrator
I think everyone regrets their efforts to an extent. Even the people who get like 9 A*'s and 1 A will ask questions about that A: "What if I revised for an extra hour...."

The thing is...the more I think about the exams I have just done, the more I doubt myself.

Lets just forget it! They are done (almost:biggrin: ) and there is nothing we can do about that now. Worrying will not change anything.

Now lets all have a *****ing good summer!!!!!!!!

Here Here

but i think ur secretly thinking u could have done better:biggrin:

I could have done more revision, but I didn't. Oh well, what's done is done.

Reply 13

Only subject i think i might underachieve is science, because i didnt put the hard work into revising for it. But then again i hate the subject so thats probably why. O well, at least i dont ever have to do it again!

lol i completely agree with you. I can't even remember what i did yesterday let alone what i did in class months ago so if i revised early then i'd probably be wasting my time! hehe. O and in answer to the question i think i could have done sooo much better with more careful revision - namely english and maths. :frown:

I keep thinking those Bs I got could have been As if I had paid attention more in class and studied harder in general.

Reply 16

I think I could have done better in a few of my subjects (English, English lit and maths) if I'd done better on my coursework and worked a bit harder, but at the end of the day, doing a grade better than I did in 3 subjects wouldn't exactly have made a huge difference. My results have still got me where I wanted to go (A-levels and soon university) and that's all I needed them for. You may have some regrets, but what's done is done and you can always learn from your mistakes at AS.

Reply 17

I could definitely have done better in both my English GCSEs (Language and Lit). I've only just got on top of exam technique for exams requiring extended written answers so my second History paper was OK, but the English and my first History were not as good as they could have been... :frown:

Reply 18

Sure I do, by a long shot, but hey, what's done is done and that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Reply 19

Possibly for English, I didn't do too well in Paper 2. But what the heck, I'm not too bothered anyway...
