They're not cheap, but come in all shapes and sizes

I went to the bloemenmarket in Amsterdam and also saw the flower parade. I had never seen anything like it, and NOTHING beats the smell of the flower market. WOW!

What's the deal with flowers anyway, what can you do with one? They'll keep you occupied in old age but we've got yonks until then...

Lillies are v. beautiful - i quite like peruvian (alstroemeria) lilies

p.s don't ask me how i know these names - i recieved quite a few bouquets while in hospital and most people seemed to take an interest in talking about the flowers rather than me
