Could someone help me with the application information?

In the Employment section, it asks you to list all your employment history and list any gaps longer than 4 weeks in the last 3 years. You have to fill in a minimum of one job.

So as a lot of people would have just come out of uni, presumably this includes your education? I.e. do you put your undergrad and any postgrad education in here? Would you put in any voluntary stuff for societies, etc? For example, I was President of a Peer Support Group at uni.

The application seems so finicky!

I was thinking about the same thing. I didn't really put anything in that section as I was in education so not really a career gap. :s-smilie:

I did the tests about a week ago and I didn't receive a confirmation email. It's worrying me, because normally you get an email to say you've completed something.

Is this the same for others who have completed the tests?

I haven't received any confirmation emails either, but if you return to the home page on the assessment site, it prevents you taking the test again. I take this to mean that my results have been submitted and everything.

For the preferences section...do we just put '1' and '2' for the two specialisms we want and 'x' next to the ones we are not interested in??

Also, where do we put our location preference?
You put 1 and 2 then all the rest are ignored automatically. I am under assumption we can't put preference of location. I was told those who are interviewed and then told are successful are placed in order of score at interview and those who performed best get their pick and filters down.

Hey.. For those who have set the logical and numerical test, was wondering if you can set the tests in two settings? So do the logical one day and the numerical another day. Is this possible or both tests are required to be sat in one setting? Thanks
Hey Guys,

I just wanted to ask those that have done the aptitude tests, is it only numerical and logical reasoning? Is there no diagrammatical reasoning?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what you mean by diagrammatical reasoning? There's a maths-based (numerical) assessment and a picture-based, abstract reasoning (logical) assessment. No verbal component.

Woah no verbal?? I thought it was numerical, abstract, verbal and a new personality section. Has anyone else done them yet?
Did mine today and didn't receive any notifications, so really hoping I didn't fail! Good luck everyone!

Just did the practice tests. The logical one made no sense :s anyone have tips?
I actually found the practice logical test harder then the real one, but that will depend on what questions come up. The only tip I can think of is to not panic if you mess up some questions
Hey, thanks for answering. By diagrammatical, I meant logical, sorry about that.

So there are only two parts? Logical and numerical? I'm asking because on the practice questions there were three - numerical, verbal and logical.
(edited 10 years ago)
Yup, just the numerical and logical
Hi - sorry if someone has already answered this but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Does the numeracy test require you to use a calculator?

Thanks. I'm really nervous about it :frown:

I use a calculator for mine. I think its recommended (unless you have an amazing maths brain). I think the main thing is just to relax and once you have done a question forget about it and focus fully on the next
Thanks

I thought that would be the case, given that they have no way of preventing someone from using a calculator. I definitely do not have a super maths brain!

Which speciality are you applying for?
I just tried the practice numeracy test....by the time I got to question 8 I was so disheartened that I just quit the page :frown:

Does anyone know if once you have completed a practice test you can go back and try it again?

Don't give up! Yes you can do the practice test as many times as you want too. What are you applying for?
