did yours hurt when you got it done?

People said it never hurt.It hurt me.When they put in the liquid ouch it felt like it was burning me :frown:

I remember (seven years back when i was in year 7) students coming into class crying or wincing because of the pain - i'm not exaggerating it's true. However i don't know whether it was truly excruciating as everyone made out since i had mine done when i was a baby.

i wasnt crying but it starts off as a little sting and builds up and up and then goes but it hurts

I meant to add - it doesn't hurt. And I didnt find it particularly painful after it was done.

But what I did find painful (excrutiatingly annoying) was the way that everyone shriekd "bcgggggg" "Bcg!!" "Dont touch my bcg!!!" for MONTHS after the injection, anytime you so much as accidentally touched ANYWHERE on their body.

 Yes i recall that happening - some students even got excused from doing swimming for a few weeks (this occured in the middle of winter and i can't help wondering if it was simply an excuse to escape the cold water).

I had the heaf test done as well - but even if the mark stayed did you still not have to have the vaccination? (I didn't since i already had it done).

No, I think I was immune already. My history teacher explained this to me, and apparently the vaccine includes fluids of the immune, like myself...

How privileged you are, a bit of me inside you

when I had my bcg the woman jabbed me with the needle so bad that I nearly passed out and missed a couple of lessons. That evil woman made my BCG exceptionally evil and I couldn't lift my arm higher than a little below my shoulder for a couple of weeks!!! And I have a bigger scar than anyone I know - EVIL WOMAN

What makes it worse is that my best friend's BCG thing left her with no scar...

Mine didn't hurt much. I almost didn't have to get it as the heaf test thing made my arm all red, but the day of the BCG it all went away! No fair :frown: But my scar is barely visible thankfully. I was more worried about an icky scar than the pain.
Although I must admit, I was the sadistic person who wandered out of the room moaning in fake agony to the crowd in the corridor outside yet to have it
