phone network signal in Bangor?

Err this might be an inappropriate question to post in here, if it is sorry!

But it's really necessary to ask before I go; i've been up to Bangor three times, now but didn't once think once to check out the mobile reception anywhere

I'm about to get a new phone, and if anyone feels like answering what's the best network to be on in Bangor? I don't remember having any problems with Virgin, and my mate didn't have any loud problems with o2... but is there anything I should know before I go?

THANKS for looking at my post! And more sorry if i'm not s'posed to be posting this here. I'm spazzing out over all my synoptic papers this week and probably haven't read any rules

Cool, thanks Lofty and sexysax. I was curious about Orange too (went to the cinema, those ads reel me in every time...) and found a phone I want on 3 but don't really know if I wanna trust 3 in North Wales... ack.

Yay 02, good for 3g. Cheers

I was going to ask this question how strange!
How is the vodafone coverage?

Vodafone is no problem. Mine works there, and the 3G is fine most of the time too

May as well throw in Virgin to ask about all the major phone networks.

Last time I was in that area and had a phone call, I was on O2, and had amazing reception. I had a really long conversation with my mate. It was in Anglesey, but I don't think that should make too much difference.

Over the years I've found reception on Vodafone, O2, Virgin, and Orange to be fine - only issues have been in halls, in some of the newer ones (Tegfan, Bryn Dinas mainly).
