Trinity Dublin Score system????????

Can somebody please explain the Trinity scoring system for medicine?? It makes no sense to me! :frown:

150 points for a* and 135 points for an a at a level. You also get an extra 25 points if you do maths.You need a minimum of about 535 for medicine at ucd for your a levels alone. The hpat aptitude test is scored out of 300, which makes up the rest of the points. This year ucd required 747 and trinity 748 points in total, hope this helped!
