Really going to need more of a clue than that..

when guys do stuff like whip out there phone, or keep taking a sip of drink aka summat in a bottle or a beer. Its because there trying to act cool, it seems stupid but I know exactly where hes coming from, hes trying to seem chilled out and cool like hes popular on the phone so hes trying to impress someone.

yeah well said ^^ Its like when a peacock spreads his tail. Or a bird sings a tune to attract the opposite sex. But really, if you TRY to look cool, the girls thinks u luk like a prick. If you dont try, and just be natural, then the naturalness looks cool, and you succeed , subconsciously, in impressing the girl.
