I wonder whether it is a line, a triangle or maybe a heart?

Ok.. basically here goes.. Theres this guy and this girl used to like him, call her A. So A likes the guy, the guy wasn't sure if he liked A. A used me as a go between, i got closer to both A and the guy. Anyway things didnt work out between A and they guy.
Another friend of mine, call her B kept saying something was going on between me and the guy, i claimed i did not like him like that at all. Anyway now.. i may think differently and well we are really close i think maybe i do like the guy.
In the mean time B told me I can never mention the guy to A at all- not even as a friend- do you think this is unreasonable?
Also if I do like the guy.. which i am very unsure of at the moment, I don't want to tell him, should i make a move instead? Is this too forthcoming and it is really not in my nature but seems to be the right move in this situation?
