My GCSEs were AAAAAAABBBCC and my AS grades were AAAA with 99% average UMS

Just try hard, and you'll do well. You don't even need to be intelligent, you just need to work hard.

Wow 99% average :awesome: applying to Cambridge I presume?

How did you guess?

Doesn't take the interview pressure off though...
Did ok at GCSE and felched up my A levels. ****ing tragic story... so depressed; my sanity and mental health has been in tatters since, realising that I am actually quite unintelligent.

With 99% average you'd be stupid not to apply:tongue:
Good luck hope all goes well

Mostly C's in my GCSEs and A*AA in my A levels
GCSEs: 1A*, 4As, 2Bs, Distinction in ICT

A-Levels: AAA in Maths, Chemistry and Economics

GCSE: 10A*s 3As
AS: maths, physics,chemistry,further maths AAAA
A2: physics, maths, chemistry (mock results) A*A*A respectively

however Ive had to work so much harder for my a levels

I got 3 A's 5B's and 2C's is this a good gcse result
GCSEs - 1 A*, 4 As, 4 Bs, 1C
A levels (predicted for A2) - AAA in classics, maths and computing

Personally I find a levels a lot more easier and comfortable to learn. I didn't really study for my GCSEs and found them tedious and stressful in comparison.

A level allows you to rely a lot more on background information of a subject. If you are genuinely interested in your subjects it's very easy.
I got 1A 3Bs and 3Cs in gcse
And in alevels I have AAAB
GCSES: 1 A, 5 Bs & 5 Cs
AS: ABBC
A2: A*ABC (although I'm getting remarks so the B and C may go up)
GCSEs: 2As, 5Bs, 1C and 1D
AS: ABBB (Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Product Design)
A2: A*AB (Maths, Chemistry, Physics)

Was very unfocused during GCSEs (with the exception of Maths and Product Design which I got As in), hated myself when I got my results. Re-doubled my efforts for A-levels and redeemed myself.
