Stretch Marks

I am a male, but have stretch marks.

I used to be overweight, but now I am not. I am 16, and my height is 6ft3. I weight about 11 and a half stone, but on the top of my arms below my shoulders I have red stretch marks, they are pretty embarassing and I am going on holiday soon so will feel a bit of a **** taking my top off, it's weird though how the top of my arms don't seem to have went any smaller/thinner with me losing weight.

I am assuming if I do some weights, not even very heavy ones, that this will tighten my arm muscles? Or something like that...

I was just thinking about this earlier. I used to have stretch marks on my arms and stomach too, not sure why, as I've lost weight, but not on my arms. But when I checked them today, they've disappeared. Not sure why.

You cant get rid of them, moisterising and getting some scar reduction cream, will help lighten them. Thats what most girls do, id imagine it would work for guys but youd have to get over the fact that its what girls do and not lads.

The marks on your shoulders aren't because you were overweight or they'd be on your belly area. They're just because your shoulders naturally broaden out during puberty and some people's skin isn't elastic enough to deal with it without marking. If you're pale skinned, they'll fade to invisibility, but if you're dark skinned, you're pretty much screwed for life.

Use some Vitamin E cream- it vanishes the stretch marks
