Raf fireman ast help

Hi there. Yesterday i sent in my application to the RAF for a position as a fireman.

Although i am currently waiting for an interview and Aptitude test date, i was wondering if there is anything that can help prepare me. I am 29 and have been out of school for 13 years :-/ so a bit rusty. I received some practice test questions but is there any books etc that could help?

Any help or advice toward preparing would be greatly appreciated.

Also i have misplaced my GCSE certificates and I know i kneed to show them proof. How would i go about getting them and when do the RAF need to see them?

The afco need to see your certificates usually on the date of your AST and if you've lost them you need to contact your school or the exam board and pay to have them replaced.
As for revision I would say the closest you can get (without paying for a book) is the mock test on the raf website, it's reasonably similar, and if you can pass that then you should have no worries on the ast.
I'm also going for raf firefighter and I'm at the last stage of the application! Good luck.

Cheers mate, and there's loads of threads on here with all the info you need, but there's the application form, AST, interview, medical, then the last stage which is a residential at manston where you do specialist firefighter tests, fitness, second interview, presentation and small test! And that's over 3/4 days! Good luck to you too!
