earache :(

Hey there. Was just wondering if anyone can give me any help/advice. Basically a week or so ago I had a slightly swollen throat, it's now progressed into a really bad earache/sore throat whenever I swallow :frown:

I went to see the doc yesterday and he said it was probably glue ear, but I thought that was associated with hearing loss which I don't have.
I've been taking painkillers but they don't help much. Has this happened to anyone before?

Yeh, i used to get it with my tonsilitious episodes. Id have constant ear infections too. Just use ear drops incase its a ear infection or a build up of wax in the inner ear, and keep taking painkillers for your throat.

I hate having earache! Have been under the hopsital constantly for over 10 years but they do nothing :angry:

I do find that popping your ears does help. It hurts when you do it, but after I can definitely feel a difference! If the problem persists, maybe you should go to the doctor. Is it affecting your hearing? Oh, and ear drops only work if its an ear infection, try nose drops! :smile:
