Well yesterday whilst performing a spot of maintainence, I looked away (very stupidly) and managed to chop some skin
I don't think I went all the way through, I'm pretty sure I only cut away at surface skin, albeit a fair bit of it. Luckily it was at the tip of the scissors so its only about 1-2mm in diameter.
I was cleaning with face (alcohol) wipes yesterday, then applying cotton wool with sudocrem, as I know how good this area is for bacteria.
Was just wondering if there was anything else I need to be worried about, or anything else you'd reccomend.
That wasn't what I was implying, because I would hope you weren't planning to cut it anyway.
Even so, go and see a doctor.
I'm not waving my balls in front of the doctors face over a small cut, I just wanted some advice on how best to prevent any infection there, as obviously it'd be a pretty big inconvenience.
Do exactly what you've done then. I assume you're keeping the cotton wool against your scrotum rather than just dabbing Sudocrem on with it? Do that (kinda like a plaster but without having to stick anything ), and change the cotton wool every few hours or so, for two or three days, or until the cut's healed (not just scabbed). Same as you would for anywhere else really, just bearing in mind that bacteria multiply faster there.
very sad to say i know just how u feel, having done exactly the same thing not too long ago (although iv done a fair bit of memory repression since then!) wasnt so much painful, as completely ****-scary! uve dun right thing bout antiseptic n stuff, mine took only bout four/five days to heal fully. dnt put cotton wool on, unless you want to soak up all ur sweat! just let the air get to it n itl be fine.
