Sorry- just in response to the 'is my diet unhealthy/i want to lose weight for summer' type threads in H & R. If a mod wants to move this thread out to another section they're free to.

feel free to join the Healthy Living Society ... I really do think it helps being able to talk to people in the same boat.

From the current first page of H&R:
Am I overweight?
Girls - Muscly pecs or flat
Really unhealthy diet??
I have just stuffed myself
What size of girl will a guy go for?
Summer Diet - What am I Doing Wrong?
gym recommendations (north london)
Losing weight in 5 weeks
weight / growth

It's all relevant. Listen to Lucy - click here to get in the Healthy Living boat! The link will save you having to go to the second page of the Societies List.
Just joining the society wont make you live healthy.

Who said thats the characteristic I'm talking about? I'm talking about being rude and unhelpful when it's totally unnecessary. I'm trying to point out you have to make a physical effort if you want to be thin.

Your comment was about as helpful as that new sign on the packets of peanuts that says 'may contain nuts'.

Talking of being rude and unhelpful - take a look in a mirror, Mister!

Haha

This topic is implying joining the society helps you keep thin, which is not the case and you are unable to understand due to your obvious lack of intelligence.

No, it isnt. It is simply implying that there is a society dedicated to threads about weight loss etc, healthy diet and so on, so there is no need to clog up H and R with these threads. I would point out that the meaning may have gone over your head. But I'm too mature

I am part of the society, indeed the 'leader' although I don't do much leading and have lost nearly half a stone- having positive comments and motivation from other people trying to eat healthily has helped. And anyhow did I say healthy living means 'keeping thin'? No I did not- if you feel there is no benefit from having people to support you with something that needs a lot of motivation then you've got a lot of organisations that will probably prove you wrong. Alcoholics Anonymous, Weight Watchers- the Church for crying out loud!
If you want to question my intelligence or call me naive for thinking this society could help people just a little bit- I think I'm neither braindead, illogical nor blindly optimistic. I think everyone I know would verify that- I'm not einstein nor a great philosopher but I'm not a stupid, dizzy idiot who thinks that you can lose weight by typing messages! Except this rambling message has really worked out my finger muscles :p:

I'd recommend this society to anyone who wants a bit of support with trying to be healthy. Sure, it's mainly based around people trying to lose weight, but lots of people on there are just trying to eat and live more healthily.

Of course, joining a soc won't make you lose weight, but it can give you a bit of motivation to make some changes.
