I think brushing your teeth and mouthwash gets the job done pretty well.

Yeah. I've seen toothpastes which say 'contains baking soda' on the front so I guess it does something.

Them sticker things you put on your teeth are pretty good, cant remember the name though. Think they were made by crest, whitestrips or something
Brushing really does help esspecialy if oyu use a whitening toothpase, collegate make one, i have used it, its good and i have seen a lot of adverts of one by 'arm and hammer'

Next time you go the dentist you could ask him to polish them. My dentist did this to mine before i got my braces put in.

Baking soda can damage tooth enamel and make teeth more sensitive, so wouldn't try that. A lot of those whitening products does that and makes teeth very sensitive.

so what else do ppl recommend?

none of this rubbish works, if you want an improvement you're gonna have to have them done professionally, anything else is a rip off , oh and don't drink coke and coffee.

Pearl drops have worked with mine. It's not so useful if you smoke or drink coffee/red wine though, as you just restain them. You can get them polished at the dentist too...
tip-ex?

The best way is to get them bleached professionally.... but it costs a hell of a lot of money.
Avoid drinking things with high tannin contents (people think coffee does all the damage, but tea has a greater tannin content, so that's pretty bad too).

Pearl drops work really good.....You'll notice the improvement in like 2 days!! Not that i have yellow teeth......................... ! :p:

my sister has used this thing called carbamide gel, her dentist recommended it. basically she got these retainer type things made (cost her £200 though) that were exactly the same as the kind of clear things you have to wear after you get your braces off. she then had to put a tiny bit of this gel out of a wee syringe inside the retainers and wear them for a night and she did this for 2 nights. and her teeth are daz white. it really really works; her teeth were really quite yellow before. you can top it up after a few months if you like but as long as you keep brushing after that its permanent. it is a bleach though so it can make your teeth sensitive for a few days. i wouldn't recommend it for teeth that chip easily, your teeth really have to be pretty healthy other than the yellowness. it is expensive though, unless you have retainers already its about £200 to get them made and £12 for a syringe of carbamide gel, which will do you for 2 nights. theres also different strengths of the stuff so you pick how strong you want the bleach to be. this was recommended and all arranged by the dentist so its pretty professional.
thats kl zain, i have braces and so will be gettain retainers soon, so i could do this for only £12! Thou my teeth are white as it is.

If people dont eat so much sugar there teeth wouldnt turn yellow!

One odd thing iv noticed is that black/assian people always seem to have pearl white teeth. My teeth are white, but are natural white so its a dull white, but theres are like perfectly white, i wouldnt start a conspiricy theory saying they all get theres polished because i just couldnt belive that they all do it.

My dentist always told me they could damage tooth enamel too. I remember I used them anyway once and I didn't think they made any difference. My teeth are pretty white already though, so I suppose if your teeth were more of an off-white/yellow colour, they'd have more effect. There's some kind that's to work faster/better or something, party pearl drops or a name similar to that I think. Oh and dentist whitening, as other people have mentioned is about £400-500 usually, so you might want to try a few other things before resorting to that :p:

Pearl drops only cost a couple of pounds, so I would go for it first....As far as I know, there arent any drawbacks, but then again Im no dentist!! Lol, ummm just to reinstate what titanium said, Im asian and I got nice white teeth! But I havent had them professionally done or anything....
