I'd wait before buying one...

But the pink mini iPod is sooooooo cute

The iPod can hold more songs and is bigger, but the mini is the size of a credit card but only holds 1000 songs, hmmmmmmm...

You'd have to have more money than sense to get an iPod mini over a regular iPod. Capacity : Price, just doesn't work out. You're only paying £50 less for something like a fifth of the capacity.

It's not like regular iPod are that small anyway. IMO they're aesthetically nicer too.

I don't really mind about the price (B'day money!!).

Anyway, I think 1000 song capacity is enough for me. Will they be realeasing a new generation of IPODs. Also, how long ago was the latest generation (I think it is the 3rd generation) released?

The original iPod deffinetly, it is already small enough (fits in your pocket fine and is pretty light to handle), looks damn good (a lot better than the mini which looks, well ****e), and you get more money for the storage (something like 15GB on the normal one for about £50 more than the mini which has only 4GB), also I really hate the colour schemes on the new mini's as opposed to the original white of the normal ipod which looks really cool.

They probably will do soon... I was going to tell you to wait but you might as well just get one because they're pretty good anyway and the only real problems was with the headphones but now you can get better ones that stay in your ears (as the old ones used to fall out). You should probably get the regular iPod with the highest song capacity if your budget stretched that far...

A mini would be nice just to have though...

At the price they're suggesting (I think it was £250) for the iPod mini it's just plain stupid to buy one.

4GB mini = £225
20GB regular = £275

The size difference isn't much, and you'll probably want a cover for it, so the colour doesn't really matter.

That's wonderful if you're buying a 1st gen iPod. However, people are going to be buying 3rd gen, so it's totally irrelevant.
