I just had the weirdest thought. Could love just be a spin of fascination? Men find women fascinating cos we are different to them, the way our minds work, the way we look, the way we move. What do you think?


Well people tend to avoid and not like different/weird people so Id say no but you could be right.

Your theory is interesting to say the least, but many-a Scientist has spent their whole lives studying this feeling we call love and I have yet to hear that idea before.

I seriously suggest a Philosophy class - it could interest you!

Transexuals look different... contradiction.
This idea of being attracted/fascinated by differences was discussed in a recent issue of New Scientist, and there was a rather subjective article about it. Nothing concrete though. Doh.

It went on to say why most lesbians and gay men try to take on either female or male roles in the relationship (the idea mentioned by the OP) - it was a bad article though.
