retakes and remarks at GCSE

If i remark a gcse exam and it does not go up, can i retake it?

Sure, why not. But make sure that the rule of 'getting a lower grade and sticking with it' does not apply to your subject.

do you mean that if you remark and get lower you can't retake because you have to stick with it?

I've heard that if say you got a B grade, then you resit the exam and get a C grade, you may have to stick with the most recent grade - which would be the C. I'm not sure if this is true, or whether it just applies to certain exam boards/subjects.
