Well, it's coming upto a Bank Holiday. I used to work for the NBS and can tell you getting through a bank holiday is hell - especially in terms of having enough platelets....

    So why not donate?

For more info on permenant sessions and mobile sessions visit:

    www.blood.co.uk

Also, why not look into the marrow register as well?

    Night ya all

You need to add the 'http' and '://' to the link, for it to work.

    Yup people, go do it!!!

I got two bits of post today....one from the NBS asking me for my seventh donation, and the other from the Anthony Nolan trust.

Do it, you'll never know when you'll need it.

    Hey, just wondering
    a) how you got working for the NBS
    b) whether you were trained as a phlebotomist
    c) how you got into afore mentioned training

basically i need something to do for the summer (i only have 6 weeks, and it'd be useful if i could take blood before i get to clinical school)

EVERYONE should give blood if they can, especially now you cant give blood if you've had a blood transfusion since 1980.
