It wouldn't make sense if they gave you additional grades. The point of re-sitting is to improve the grade you have. For instance, some people in my year took an exam in January. They didn't do very well, and so sat the exam again in May. They will not get an additional grade, only their current mark will improve - unless of course they do worse, in which case the exam board picks the higher of the marks.
