Personality 'Enhancing' Medication

I just thought I would share an article I came across about a guy's experience with a lifestyle drug in America called Paxil, that claims to put an end to your shyness and social anxiety. It's probably worth a read if you have ever considered such lifestyle drugs, or even are considering antidepressants. Scary stuff.

Extroverted like me

Would any of you consider taking drugs like Paxil - either before or after you have read the article? Anyone had any bad experiences from similar mood altering medication?

No, I'd never consider such a drug! I, like the author of the article am not too confident in terms of public speaking but I'd much rather contend with the nerves than drug myself up and risk those kind of side effects!

The only drug i take in a blue moon is paracetemol

Alot of drugs can cause side affects.
One of my favourite quotes-

"Trying to be someone you aren't is a waste of the person you are"

I think it's pretty sad if you feel the need to use personality-altering drugs.
And with those side-effects to boot I can't really see the advantage.
a lifestyle drug...that claims to put an end to your shyness and social anxiety

It's more commonly known as 'alcohol'.
Its called beer.

you realise this is what ecstasy is for?
theres no such thing as a personality enhancer, just an inhibition reducer.
