hi im stuck on formula can anybody help i want to add 15% to the total eg total £247 then add 15% and i carnt remember how to do it please help.

sum(a1:a4)/100*percentage

I find that is the best way of doing it.

where a1: is the first column etc

or just do sum()*1.15 (basically times 1 + 15%)

oh thanks people now i might be able to get on i got loads of screen dumps to do as well im told. any advice for getting a realy good score like an A as i need the points to carry on next year and i realy need a good pass. thanks again for the help tho.

You doing the AVCE? To get an A make sure you have some VB forms in there, macros and complex formular i.e IF statements.

sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone know how to open a VBA userform straight away when the worksheet is opened, i have forgotten what my teacher told me yesterday.

the spreadsheet is in excel and im not sure about VB forms and if statements can you explain more so i can read up on this and find info please

If this is for AVCE if I remember correctly you need to use VBA to get an A in it.

The easiest way to this is to have input forms (like access) for data entry, it just looks more profesional than entering text into cells. You will need to read up on VBA for Excel.
