First Time Contraception

My girlfriend is on the pill and we are going to start sleeping with each other.

It will be both our first times, neither of us have any experience with anyone else but we know each others bodies quite well now, we've just never been all the way.

For extra protection we are going to use condoms too, aswell as the pill. There are so many different types and brands, I don't know which to choose. We obviously want something fairly safe, but nothing too un-natural, im reluctant to go for the ones like 'tingle' because im unsure if they will be kinda strange.

Im just wondering what sort I should buy for our first time?

Don't worry about safety, all the condoms you can buy in shops and a pharmacy are completly safe. Just make sure you don't buy extra-large ones or small ones if you don't need it.. depending on your size obviously :wink:

If you do foreplay and stuff and are comfortable with each others body you could get some flavoured condoms, whatever your gf likes maybe.

Have fun and don't worry, using both the pill and condoms is a good thing to do. you'd be very unlucky if both failed to work!

Just go for the regular Durex ones - can't go wrong. Have a ball!!

I recommend you buy some condoms prelubricated with spermicide, and some lube. Get loads.

any condoms will be safe, except make sure you get ones that arent for oral use only, you know the curry flavoured ones in the pub toilets, as these arent meant for sex. apparently condoms are usually only 84% effective when used for the first year of someone having sex as they dont put them on right. but that doesnt apply to you as your girlfriend is on the pill. have fun

Just make sure theyre marked with the CE labely thingy and ul be fine with any apart from the oral ones, as said earlier the durex ones are great for coming pre lubed and with added benefit of including spermicide. This might sound stupid but make sure your alive down there before you try to put one on. Have fun! Remember although the first time is great its only a base line for the fun which is to come ; )

dont get extra safe! i did when me and my boyfriend started sleepin together, but they cut the circulation off, so we couldnt actually have sex!
anyway, durex sensation are very nice. theyre ribbed and got raised dots or sumthin. good luck! x
