I've also got the same problem- loads of crap on my computer. I want to do a re-install of windows xp, but I lost all my disks when I moved house. Does anyone know where are all the windows files (and my office xp files) are on the hard disk so that I can burn them onto a CD?

if u want ur pc to run faster, get a registry cleaner as well. it gets rid of all ur old links inside ur pc which accessed progs or files which have long since gone, but the pathways still exist, which can cause ur pc to slow down a lot. i run this regularly. it helps out. also, generally try and avoid extra crap running in the background.

But probably another good advice is to get the adaware out and do a scan once in a while. Too many adware/spyware, can slow down the computer a lot.

Yes, adaware. It is the best one around. And it is free.
