Standardised Instructions?

I'm doing my psych coursework on the matching hypothesis
i was wondering what past students put in their instructions with regards to
telling participants the purpose of the study or asking them to indicate whether they (the participants) studied or have studied psychology

i didnt put anything about them studying psychology... just asked them before i carried our my experiment... as for telling them about the experiment... that usually goes in the debrief... as long as they sign a consent form then not telling them about your experiment until the end is fine....

If you want any more help just ask... i got a A/B in my coursework so just ask :smile:

thanx-so if they said they had/do study psychology what did you say "thank you for your time but you can't take part? lol"

what if they asked about the point of the experiment at the start what did you say?

can i just say that the survey is to do with attraction

yup basically lol... i had a class of non psychology students for mine... so wasnt realli an issue... The point of the experiment... i said i will let them know at the end... just explain that for fair results it is vital that they know as little as possible of the study so as to not influence the results... mine were all fine... if they are desperate to know just tell them and say well you cant take part now sorrriiii lol
