(c) Explain, with reference to Figure 3, why an increase in the number of values improves the accuracy of the approximation.

i didnt know how to answer that exactly so i wrote some bull and couldnt be bothered to gain that mark anymore
i think the answer would be:

as you increase the number of strps, you increase the number of trapiziums but at the same time decrease theyre size therefore less area of the curve is disragarded so its more accurate

x = sint y = sin (pi/6 + t)

dx/dt = cost y = sin(pi/6)cost + cos(pi/6)sint

y = (cost)/2 + rt3(sin)t/2

dy/dt = -sint/2 + rt3cost/2

dy/dx = dy/dt x dt/dx = -tant/2 + rt3/2


now t=pi/6 so dy/dx = rt3/2 - tan(pi/6)/2 = rt3/2 - 1/2rt3 = 2/2rt3 = 1/rt3


x = sin(pi/6) = 0.5 and y = sin(pi/3) = rt3/2

y - rt3/2 = 1/rt3 (x - 0.5)

y - rt3/2 = x/rt3 - 1/2rt3

2rt3y - 3 = 2x - 1

2rt3y = 2x + 2

rt3y = x + 1

OR

y = x/rt3 + 1/rt3

i think u can do directly differentiation without using the identity for sin (A+B). I did it both ways and it turns out u get the same answer. or maybe i am wrong
