Empirical/Molecular formula

Hi,

In this question I am asked to construct a balanced equation for the reaction between titanium and chlorine. I calculated the empirical formula of the chloride to be TiCl4.

However, in the chemical equation can I include the empirical formula as the product, or will I have to include the molecular formula instead?

The molecular and empirical formula are the same in this case - TiCl4

In chemical equations, you always use the molecular formula
