Formal Attire for Freshers Ball and etc...

Hey,

I was just wondering how formal the balls were at RH. For example, Freshers Ball...? The fanciest dance I've ever needed to go to was prom :p:

and lets just say in S. California [or rather at my school] anything goes...if you get the idea.

Are we talking full length gowns? or what?

Any help would be appreciated :biggrin:

I don't think you'd need the ball gown for the Freshers Ball - smart attire should be fun. Plus, you'll be in the Union so you don't want to wear your best clothes in there as it gets hot and sweaty! Save the floor length gown for the Summer Ball. :smile:

As far as I know there are four events that need formal attire. Societies Ball, Colours Ball, JBAS Boat Party and Summer Ball are black tie. The first of them doesn't happen till around February or March.

Freshers ball you're probably best off a)waiting to see if there's a theme and b) wearing clothes that are quite cool (temperature wise) and shoes that you don't mind getting covered in drink.
