Engineering personal statement

Hi rats!:colone::biggrin: :colone:

I wanted to know if anyone could tell me what activities I could do to put on my personal statement for mechanical/civil engineering...

I have a few extra curricular activities, but im afraid these have little or nothing to do with engineering...

Are there any projects I could do, anything i could make? or anything that would enhance my application in general?

Thank You,... Im only joking about rats!

You don't need relevant work experience - you just need to show your enthusiasm for the subject and why you want to spend three year studying it.

Have a look at your nearest Uni(s) website and see if there are any Public Lectures that are relevant, also check out any local Science/Engineering Museum websites etc for anything similar. If you mentioned that you had done something like this and a 'why I found this interesting' comment, that would show you have started to think outside the A level syllabus.

For example : http://www.bath.ac.uk/event/public-lectures/
