How do you know you'll be living in Maurice Court for the 2nd year? And how on earth did you manage to blag that one!

Maurice Court was for 1st years last year but i believe they may have changed it.

Queen Mary University
Maurice Court is a four-storey building providing housing for 173 final year students in twelve five and six person maisonettes and eighteen four to six person flats.

It looks like 3rd years (it actually states final, so I'm guessing that could mean Masters as well)

Flat 2. Are you like the complete other side of the campus!
I'm still weighing up the possibility of moving in with my brother in Canary Wharf. I can get to uni easy, park my car in the basement garage and be at ease around the place.

The university offers no parking , restrictions, but lots of good times down the drinking places
Also offers a proper sleep in, better access to the university, so I'm still in two minds.

Well that's a bit of a let down! I thought you may be my new flat buddy

awww, im still your building buddy! i do know sum1 who is living in ur flat, my fellow footy girl sakeena, 3rd yr english student. my friend elizabeth is the steward for maurice lol.

im trying to work out if i know u, do u play for a sports team?

I did once apply for the footie team on freshers day, but my feet can't take it. They bleed whenever I kick a football :frown:

The only sports action I do is lifting pint glasses flexing those biceps in the process

Otherwise my time at the university is always limited apart from assignment deadline day at midnight where I'm there until midnight submitting it electonically

I'm not really a visible face. I hardly ever attend lectures, although forced seminars are a blooming problem, and I literally live in London unlike many others where the SU is there life. So I'm free to roam in and out of uni as I desire.

Hang on - you mentioned 'footy girl' and 'fellow' - woo! Does this mean that both of you are strong football fans?

I'm in Maurice Court, not sure which flat coz don't have the letter to hand, but will check! I'm a final year (4th year) language and linguistics student, and I'm really hoping for fun flatmates who'll help me blank out any final-year stress with lots of drinking, cheesy dancing and general silliness. Unlikely I guess, but I can dream...Lol x

Hi! I just got my housing offer and I'm in Maurice Court. Anyone else in there? If anyone knows what the building is like (quality of rooms, location on campus, etc.) I would love to hear about it. I've never seen the QM campus, so I'm keen to know anything and everything about where I'm going to be living next year. I know Maurice is postgrad housing so I might not get many replies, but any info would be appreciated!
