Is left idealism rational choice perspective?

No, "rational choice" arguments are generally associated with New Right persepctives.
"Left Idealism" was a phrase coined by Jock Young (New Left Realism) to describe the type of perspective adopted by radical criminologists (the best-known UK example probably being Taylor, Walton and Young's "The New Criminology", 1973).
