Problems with the Pill

i've been on the pill for nearly two years and i've never had a problem with it, until after xmas...
a few months ago i started to bleed a couple of days before finishing my packet off, which hasn't happened before. and when i've tried missing periods recently by taking one packet straight after the other, it's not worked and i've ended up having my periods just the same as usual.
last month i finished one period, then 2 weeks later i started another one, even though i was trying to skip it because i was going on holiday. but that was 19 days ago and i'm still bleeding (they usually only last around 5/6 days).
is this normal? i've got a couple of days left before i finish my latest packet, then i was going to stop taking them for a while to see if that helps?
i did (stupidly) have unprotected sex before xmas (and i managed to accidently miss 2 tablets, two nights together, when that happened), but i've had periods since then, so i'm pretty sure i'm not pregnant?
sorry if i've managed to confuse anyone, and i'd be grateful for any help!!

definately do a pregnancy test because you shouldnt be bleeding for that long and just because u've had periods doesnt mean your not pregnant. but u should definately go and see your doctor because the bleeding could be a miscarriage or something it could be anything

Go to the doc, tell them what happened and ask to go on a different pill. Should solve it!

Er, for 19 days? Highly unlikely! But yes, like I said above, see Doc!

You need to see your doctor. Explain the problem, they will probably put you on a different tablet or one with a higher dose to stop the same thing happening again.
Ive had similar problems before, I had a really bad spell on a specific pill where I just bled for what seemed like forever- it actually lasted 3 months. So see your GP ASAP so they can sort you out.

I think you would of have some symptoms by now if you were pregnant. Most women start showing around 5 months, and its has to be almost 6 months since christmas.

You can bleed for up to 13 weeks with a miscarriage actually!
