I spent my childhood in the Philippines so I can help a bit
and to answer your question latin letters

Its me again. Good to know. Could it be that the Philippines got the Latin letters by the English language which is the second official language there?

Here is my second question: If I'm not mistaken the Philippines are the main location for comodo dragons. As far as I know it is allowed to keep them as pets. Are there many people in the Philippines who keep comodo dragons as pets?

I think it's more to do with the Spanish conquering Philippines in the 15th century. The letters are very similar.

I don't think many people keep comodo dragons as pet. Although I think in some provinces they do keep them.

Very ineresting. Nevertheless I wonder why Spanish is not one of the oficial language in the Philippines. Is spanish spoken by a minority at least?

My third question is about comodo dragons again. It is told that comodo dragons have a lethal poison in their teeth. How dangerous is a comodo dragon for humans?

I think it's because Americans colonised Philippines too so that's where the English thing comes from. Yes some people still speak Spanish, mostly from old families and people learning it in uni.

About comodo dragon, not sure how dangerous they are to humans with their poison though they are dangerous as they've been known to eat humans.

My fourth question is a personal one to you: Do you speak Spanish beside English? How good do you speak your mother tongue Philipine? is it worse than English?

I speak a bit of Spanish. My filipino is okay I suppose, fluent but struggling with some words sometimes. My english is definitely better.
