multiply both sides by 30, and expand...

the HCF of the LHS is 30, not 60

    lets start simple.

doing what i suggested we get: \displaystyle 30(\frac{3x-2}{5}+\frac{5x-6}{15}+\frac{x-3}{10}-\frac{x-3}{30})

    multiplying out we get:

    6(3x-2)+2(5x-6)+3(x-3)-(x-3)

    =

    6(3x-2)+2(5x-6)+2(x-3)

    expand...

You have put18x+12 as the first two terms in the numerator when it should be 18x-12

Where did the word disequation come from? Why not use the accepted standard word for such a problem which is Inequality.

I thought I was entering a thread to do with a concept I've never heard of before ... aaaand it turns out to be an inequality. :nn:

Edit: Multiply the inequality by 30 and gather like terms.
