Hi, many thanks for your question. As you quite rightly point out, interpersonal skills are invaluable at work. Skills such as networking, teamwork and leadership qualities are all skills that can be developed throughout your studies and if you are undertaking an internship as part of your course then that also provides you with a perfect opportunity to demonstrate your interpersonal skills within the workplace. It will also provide you with the experience you’ll need to demonstrate examples of those skills for prospective employers upon graduation.

Our degrees at Pearson College are related to the world of business so it wouldn't be appropriate for me to provide you with advice in relation to Science. In general though an internship provides you with the opportunity to network with colleagues within your chosen industry so that you can build and maintain those contacts; it also provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your teamwork skills so that you can start to be more effective when interacting with a number of people at work and good group skills will enable you to resolve issues much more efficiently throughout your career. If you can demonstrate examples of how you have already started to develop these skills then that can only help your employability upon graduation and help you to stand out from the crowd. Good luck!
