Hi, basically I just need as much information on this as possible and asap. My head of sixth form is so ignorant and won't even look at this and consider me doing it. Would I need help from teachers like every week with this or not at all with it being independent?

Its not so hard, basically you'll need your supervisor to check over your work every couple of weeks. Most of it is self-manageable (keep a diary, use a Gantt chart etc.)
It's a year to write an essay - and yet it is held in pretty high regard!

You basically need like a 'referee' or some other term. Basically a teacher that will mark the dissertation and presentations and do some other details I imagine

Does your school actually offer it? Otherwise I don't imagine it being a problem unless you started it extremely late
