I'm in A2 year and i'd like to pick up an AS subject. However I don't know if i'm too late to do this. My teachers have told me the deadline to DROP a subject is 18th October but they didn't tell me anything about picking up a subject.

Do you know anyone who has just recently picked up a subject?

Anyway, I really appreciate your time, and thanks.

The best thing to do is speak to your 6th form. They should give you a definite answer.
You might find though, that even if it isnt too late, and you can pick up a subject, you have quite a bit of catching up to do.

My friend picked up AS further maths in November last year and still got an A so it's certainly do-able!

Thanks, I just thought they'd have the deadline for dropping a subject the same as the deadline for picking up a subject. I guess it just makes more sense, but i'll ask anyway.

You would have thought that the deadline would be the same day, but id just check with them.

I also picked up AS further maths and self taught it from November-June and got an A so its possible - maybe a bit more trickier for the core sciences and English though
