    1) Can we focus on more than one object at a time?
    2) Can we recognise more than one object at a time?

When I'm talking about focus, I'm talking about the "Figure Ground" phenomenon, in which you isolate an object in your visual field. The object goes into focus and becomes the "figure" and the rest of the visual field goes out of focus and becomes the "ground"
